Mark’s recent work with student leaders in schools and coaching teenage male basketballers inspired him to explore the philosophy that “Leaders are not born but made”. Mark wanted to develop an extra curricular activity that would provide secondary schools with a leadership program that was focussed on a values based leadership philosophy. Similar philosophies are being used in elite sporting teams as well as corporate business to train leaders and managers. ‘4 the TEAM’ delivers a program that value adds to the existing structures already in place in secondary schools and presents students with real life learning experiences. ‘4 the TEAM’ wants students to become better leaders, by leading teams!
The “4 the TEAM’ leadership philosophy is centred around the 4 pillars identified below. All leadership programs offered by ‘4 the TEAM’ incorporate these pillars into the training. The combination of all 4 pillars makes this program different and unique when compared to the bigger leadership companies. The 4 pillars provide a clear framework to develop a reinvigorated leadership culture within the school for both staff and students.
